Directed by John Woo, the movie saw Cage play someone else in his own body

Face/Off is a movie title that first comes to mind when thinking about Nicolas Cage. One among the many different roles the versatile actor took up, he has now revealed details about the filming of the movie.
In an interview with Variety, Cage said, "There was a moment in there where I think I actually left my body, where I just got scared. Am I acting or is this real? And I can see it when I look at the movie, that one moment, it’s in my eyes.”
The actor reveals that during the shoot, playing the role of a man forced to live someone else's life took a toll on him. The story of him feeling he left his body has left the fans bemused. The scene Cage refers to is the prison brawl scene, where the actor puts on an erratic show.
Cage plays a criminal in the action thriller which has John Travolta as his arch-nemesis. The movie sees the two swapping faces and one man living the other’s life.
Directed by John Woo in 1997, the thriller was written by Mike Werb and Michael Colleary. The movie also went on to be one of the biggest grossers of the year and also got an Academy Award nomination for Sound Effects Editing.
Cage was last seen in Pig, which released this year and is receiving good reviews from critics and fans. The legendary actor also has a few movies in his kitty including The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, The Old Way and Butcher's Crossing.
