After the big budget period drama Kayamkulam Kochunni, Nivin Pauly is all set to team up with Rosshan Andrrews for an entertainer and will join the shoot of the film in Bengaluru on May 12.
The team had previously shot a few portions of the film, which had its pooja function last month, in Dubai. Apart from Nivin, the multi-starrer also has Siju Wilson, Aju Varghese, Saiju Kurup, Saniya Iyyappan and a host of newcomers.
The film, which is touted to be a big budget entertainer, is scripted by Naveen Das. Apart from Bengaluru, it also has Mysore as another location. R Divakaran is its cinematographer while Jakes Bejoy, who had previously scored the music for Rosshan’s Salute, will be teaming up with the filmmaker again for the upcoming Nivin-starrer.
Rosshan’s previous film Salute, which had Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, also marked the filmmaker’s OTT debut. The movie, which dropped on Sony LIV in March, was an investigative thriller that was scripted by Bobby and Sanjay duo. Manoj K Jayan, Diana Penty and Saniya were also part of its cast.
Meanwhile, Nivin, who made his OTT debut last year with Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham, has a few releases lined up for theatrical release. First of these to hit theatres could be Rajeev Ravi’s period drama Thuramukham, which also has Indrajith Sukumaran, Joju George, Arjun Ashokan and Poornima Indrajith. The movie is based on the chappa system that was prevalent in the ports of Cochin during the 1940s.
The actor has also completed shooting for Abrid Shine’s Mahaveeryar, which is a time-travel fantasy satire. The movie has him teaming up with Asif Ali again after Traffic and Sevenes. The star has also wrapped up shooting for Padavettu, which has Aditi Balan and Manju Warrier, and most recently Ram’s Tamil movie. He has also signed Anuraj Manohar’s Shekhara Varma Rajavu.
