Not only Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 also breaks a Box Office record

Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 has become the third highest grossing Indian film. Soon after the development, here’s an achievement by Akshay Kumar-starring film, OMG 2. The film has also broken a Box Office record. It is now the fourth highest grossing adult film in Bollywood.

OMG 2 has earned Rs. 135.9 crores at the Box Office so far, according to a report on sacnilk.com. The movie is now the fourth highest grossing film with an adult certificate. The film beat Grand Masti, released in 2013, for the spot.

Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani’s Kabir Singh ranks first on the spot. The Arjun Reddy (starring Vijay Deverakonda) remake had collected Rs. 278.2 crores. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial received a lot of backlash. It starred Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar and Pallavi Joshi in the lead roles.

Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files is the second highest grossing adult movie. It earned Rs. 252.5 crores. The movie received mixed and extreme reviews.

Adah Sharma’s The Kerala Story takes the third spot with Rs. 238 crores. The movie is touted to be a true story about three women from Kerala who were lured into converting to Islam and consequently joining ISIS.

Grand Masti had earned Rs. 102.5 crores at the Box Office. The Indra Kumar directorial is the fifth highest grossing adult film in India.

All about OMG 2

OMG 2 is the sequel to OMG – Oh My God. The original film featured Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. OMG 2, on the other hand, saw Pankaj Tripathi alongside Akshay. The Amit Rai directorial also stars Yami Gautam, Arun Govil, Aamir Naik, Fahim Fazli, Vedika Nawani and Parth Siddhpura in pivotal roles.

The movie, which released on the same day as Gadar 2, had received the A certificate over a few dialogues in it. The certification was after the board was mocked for allowing the cringe Adipurush dialogues.
