Stranger Things is one of the most popular TV shows on streaming platforms in recent years. The Netflix Original show, created by the Duffer brothers, pays homage to several novels and films from the ‘80s. The show’s aesthetic, its amiable characters and compelling narrative appeal to viewers across demographics. So, here's a list of interesting facts about the mysterious world of Stranger Things. 

1. Actress Millie Bobby Brown wears a pink dress and a blonde wig in one of the episodes as Eleven as a tribute to ET’s disguise from Steven Spielberg’s film E.T. the Extra-terrestrial.

2. The Spotify album cover of the show’s soundtrack turns upside down when listening and the time bar turns into a flashlight aimed at the album cover. 

3. References to Stephen King novels are scattered throughout the series. In fact, the title logo of the series is taken from King’s original editions of the 1980s novels such as Christine and Cujo.

4. Joe Keery’s character Steve Harrington was originally intended to be a bonafide bully. In fact, he was written to sexually assault Natalia Dyer’s character, Nancy Wheeler. However, the Duffer Brothers reworked the pilot after Keery turned out to be genuinely charming and likeable.
