Sony Pictures will bring to screen the love story of rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his wife, reality TV Sharon soon. The untitled project is backed by Polygram Entertainment, is scripted by Lee Hall, and will follow the biopic format, according to Variety.
"Our relationship at times was often wild, insane and dangerous but it was our undying love that kept us together. We’re thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures and Polygram to bring our story to the screen," said Sharon in a statement.
Sharon is producing with children Jack and Aimee Osbourna via their label Osbourne Media. Michele Anthony and David Blackman will be produce on behalf of Polygram, while Andrea Giannetti will represent Sony.
Variety writes that Ozzy's music will play an integral role in the project, owing to the fact that he was the frontman of English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, and even had a successful solo career.
Hall has previously worked on films like Rocketman, War Horse, Victoria & Abdul, and Billy Elliot for which he got an Oscar nomination.
Osbourne Media has in the past produced both scripted and unscripted content across platforms. These include God Bless Ozzy Osbourne (Showtime), Alpha Dogs (NatGeo Wild), and Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne that premiered at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival.
