Paatal Lok actor Abhishek Bannerjee to debut in Telugu cinema with Anand Deverakonda's next

We all remember the ruthless serial killer ‘Hathoda’ Tyagi in Paatal Lok. The whole series revolved around Tyagi’s appearance. Now, Abhishek Bannerjee, who played Hathoda Tyagi will be making his debut in Telugu cinema. The actor has been roped in for Anand Deverakonda-starrer Highway. The movie is directed by popular cinematographer K.V.Guhan.

Abhishek told TOI, "Kalpakkam is where I spent my childhood and I grew up watching Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. So in a way shooting for a Telugu film is like going back to childhood." Abhishek was last seen in the Netflix release Ajeeb Daastaans and is looking forward to the release of Dostana 2.

Highway is said to be a road movie/ psycho-crime thriller. Anand Deverakonda was last seen in Middle Class Melodies, a comedy-drama in which he was paired opposite Varsha Bollamma. The movie is bankrolled by Venkat Talari under Sri Iswarya Lakshmi Movies.

Highway also marks the Telugu debut of Malayalam actress Manasa Radhakrishnan. She plays an important role named Tulsi, according to the latest reports. Manasa made her presence felt in Uriyadi recently.
