Pakistani actor-screenwriter reviews Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan calls it 'nothing more than a video game'

Pathaan, the film starring Shah Rukh Khan, premiered on Amazon Prime Video on March 22 after a hugely successful run in theatres. OTT has made the movie accessible to everyone worldwide. The Pakistani actor and screenwriter described the spy thriller starring SRK, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham as "nothing more than a video game" in his social media criticism.

In his review of the Siddharth Anand’s directorial, Yasir wrote, “Agar aap mission impossible 1 bhi dekh chukey hain toh shah rukh khan ki pathan aap ko aik story less video game se zyada kuch nahi lagy gi"

Yasir, who is well-known for being the host of The After Moon Show, was criticised for disparaging the movie, which has made over Rs 1000 crore globally, but other people also praised him for voicing his thoughts. When Pathaan first came out in theatres, the reviews were excellent.

Five more sequences that were not present in the film when it first came out in theatres on January 25 have been added to the OTT version of Pathaan. The story centres on SRK's portrayal of a RAW agent who is trying to protect India from a deadly attack. The movie Pathaan concluded its theatrical run as the highest-grossing Hindi language film ever in India with over Rs 1046 cr in worldwide box office earnings.

Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham star in Siddharth Anand's action thriller, which also features Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana in key parts. Tiger also had a cameo by superstar Salman Khan.

The spy universe of YRF Film includes Pathaan. According to rumours, SRK will make a brief cameo appearance in Tiger 3.
