Parthiban wishes to watch Ajith performing a role similar to THIS iconic Hollywood character

Actor-filmmaker Parthiban has been hitting the headlines for the past few days for several reasons. He is currently busy with the post-production works of his upcoming film Iravin Nizhal which has music composed by AR Rahman. The film's teaser was launched recently and a few statements and actions by Parthiban at the project's audio launch went viral in no time.

A small video clip from one of his interviews has now started doing the rounds on social media. It has him talking about a character he wishes to be taken up by Ajith. 

According to him, the Valimai star should play a role similar to what Joaquin Phoenix pulled off successfully in Joker a few years ago. He said that fans of Ajith and other movie lovers will be in for a treat if he essays such a role in one of his upcoming movies. 

Parthiban said, "It will be a never-before-seen experience if Ajith enacts such a character. All of us know that he is capable of surprising us with extraordinary performance. The character Joaquin essayed in Joker is debatable even today in terms of political correctness. But the fact is that people enjoyed it thoroughly."

He added, "When someone like Joaquin, who isn't that familiar to us when compared to Ajith, enthralled us with the flawless portrayal of a sensational character, imagine what the latter could do on screen. He should take up characters which have grey shades as well."

Ajith is currently busy with Vinoth's AK 61 (tentative title) the shooting of which is happening at Hyderabad. The movie which is being bankrolled by Boney Kapoor is slated for a theatrical release on Deepavali this year. The cast and crew details of the film is expected to be announced soon.
