#ParuParvathy’s The Hiking Foot song: Watch Deepika Das explore the freedom of the open road

#ParuParvathy, the directorial debut venture of Rohit Keerti, is a road movie featuring actress and former Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Deepika Das as a popular travel vlogger, Payal. The film released in theatres on January 31 and to give audiences a glimpse into the kind of visuals to expect in #ParuParvathy, the team dropped the full video of The Hiking Foot song, which follows Deepika as Payal, on her solo trips across the length and breadth of the country, covering vast green landscapes to snow-capped mountains and more.

Composed by R Hari, the song, written by Nagarjun Sharma, features vocals by Anthony McKeon, with the highlight, obviously, being the brilliant visuals captured by cinematographer Abin Rajesh, along with drone specialist Hemanth Kumar. The aerial shots of the terrain apart, the focus is also firmly on Deepika riding/driving some mean machines, hiking to hitherto unexplored corners and scaling mountains. As exciting as the idea of traveling sounds, solo trips that are captured for an audience, demands a lot of hard work, as seen in the song.

#ParuParvathy, meanwhile, brings actress Poonam Sirnaik to Kannada cinema as the title character, a sexagenarian homemaker, who runs away from her ‘lonely’ life in Bengaluru, to embark on a trip across India with Payal. #Paru’s mission is to relish every moment of the journey, while making her way to Uttarakhand to face her army man husband. The experiences that the duo have on the road go a long way in strengthening their bond.

The film also stars Fawaz Ashraf, KS Sridhar, Prashant Natana, Mahantesh Hiremath, Raghu Ramanakoppa, among others, while Sudharani serves as voice artiste, giving life to Paru. A red adventure utility vehicle that Deepika and Poonam use for their trip is also integral to the plot, as also the bikes that the former rides occasionally.
