Ponniyin Selvan teaser LEAKED! Twitterati go gaga over visual grandeur in the much-awaited Mani Ratnam flick

Kollywood movie lovers who have been eagerly looking forward to the most-anticipated teaser of Ponniyin Selvan got the shock of their life after they realized that it has been leaked and is going viral on social media. The one-minute teaser started doing the rounds after a leading television channel played it sometime ago.

Though the leaked video lacks quality, film buffs are impressed with the visuals and are waiting for the official teaser launch which is slated to happen at 6 pm today. All the prominent actors who are part of the mammoth project are featured in the teaser, leaving fans elated.

The war scenes and long shots stand out in the teaser; Aishwarya Rai and Trisha's screen presence is another prime highlight of the much-awaited promo video from the multilingual project which will be released in different languages. Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Mahesh Babu, Suriya and Rakshit Shetty will be launching the teaser in Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada respectively.

Fans of Vikram, Karthi and Jayam Ravi who watched the leaked teaser are now waiting for the original version to enjoy screen presence of their favourite stars. A few who feel that nothing can match the official teaser have refrained from watching the leaked version on social media.

Film lovers are eager to know if all the actors in Ponniyin Selvan would turn up at the teaser launch which is happening at Chennai. The movie marks the return of Mani Ratnam after a four-year hiatus, and we just hope that it's worth the wait.

The project jointly bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies will be released in theatres on September 30. An update on the release of the film's second installment is also expected to be announced after September 30.
