Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up for the grand release of his first ever Diwali release, Prince, which will hit screens on October 21. The film is a romantic comedy helmed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu fame. Prince marks the Tamil debut of Ukraine model Maria Ryaboshapka, who will play the leading lady in the film. The plot revolves around a teacher, who is a favourite among his students, falling in love with a foreigner. The film has been predominantly shot in Puducherry. With just three days to go for the film's release, the team is promoting the film aggressively.
Prince recently received a U certificate from the Censor Board and is touted to be one of the biggest releases of Sivakarthikeyan. It is also a bilingual, which means it will be directly released in theatres in Telugu, in addition to the Tamil version. The film is said to be a laugh riot with the hit combo of Varuthapadatha Valibar, Sathyaraj and Sivakarthikeyan coming together once again. Sathyaraj will play Sivakarthikeyan's father in the film and going by the trailer he seems to be a proud father as his son has fallen in love with a foreigner, thinking beyond caste, creed and religion. The inaugural scene in the trailer shows Sathyaraj trying to stop a fight revolving around caste and religion. The film also stars Premgi Amaren and Anandharaj.
