Producer Dil Raju asks for Pooja Hegde's dates as her films are always 'super hit', calls her 'lucky charm'

Pooja Hegde is one of the most sought-after actors in the south film industry. The actor was last seen in the romantic drama Radhe Shyam, opposite Prabhas. She will next be seen in Beast, which stars Vijay. Recently, the leading producer of the Telugu film industry, Dil Raju, who will be presenting the Telugu version of the Tamil movie, Beast, heaped praises on the leading lady and called her the ‘Lucky Charm’.

Raju was speaking at a press conference when he made the comment. The video clip of the producer talking about Hegde has gone viral on social media. According to koimoi.com, the producer said, “Pooja is like a lucky charm to the film industry. DJ- Duvvada Jagannadham, Maharshi, Ala Vaikunthapuramu Loo, Aravinda Sametha, all of these movies were super hits because Pooja stepped in." He also called out to the actor, asking for her dates. "Pooja! I want your dates,” he said.

He also compared the Radhe Shyam actor to a very popular sweet ‘Kaja’. His comment has grabbed several eyeballs of social media users. Some commented that it is 'insensitive to objectify' an actor while some seemed to have liked his comments. Many also thought that his speech is witty.

Meanwhile, Hedge is currently gearing up for the release of her film with Vijay, Beast. Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film has become the talk of the town ever since it was announced. The film's music has also been widely appreciated and accepted. 

The film Beast will hit the theatres on April 13.
