Project K : Deepika Padukone reaches Hyderabad to resume shoot of Prabhas-Nag Ashwin sci-fi movie

Deepika Padukone recently touched down in Hyderabad to resume shooting for Prabhas' sci-fi multilingual movie with Nag Ashwin. Tentatively titled Project K, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role.

Deepika, nailing a denim-on-denim look was all cheerful, as she was photographed leaving for Hyderabad at the Mumbai airport on Monday night. She will shoot on the gigantic set built at Ramoji Filmcity.

The film crew began with the guru of Indian cinema in July last year on Guru Purnima, an auspicious date. They filmed a sequence with Amitabh Bachchan, however, the details of his role are under wraps.

Project K is a large-scale, pan-India production that has been making headlines since its launch. It also marks Big B and Prabhas’ first collaboration.

Meanwhile, Deepika was last seen in Amazon Prime Original Gehraiyaan' directed by Shakun Batra and the sports drama 83. Her upcoming ventures Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan and Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, both directed by Siddharth Anand and set to release in 2023.

“Story, script, and entire universe that is going to be built for Prabhas’s film. We are still in the planning stage. Every property for this movie has to be created from zero, and Prabhas and I are trying to give our best to the project,” Nag Ashwin had told The Indian Express previously.

Project K is expected to be released in 2023.
