Written and directed by Sukumar, Pushpa: The Rise is the first of the two cinematic parts of an upcoming action-thriller
Popular Kannada actor Dhananjaya thinks Pushpa: The Rise is going to be another super hit film. In a recent chat with Bangalore Times, the actor who plays a major role in the upcoming Allu Arju starrer Pushpa, opened up about his insights into the movie.
Written and directed by Sukumar, Pushpa is an upcoming action thriller, which stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Dhananjaya revealed that being a fan of Sukumar, he readily agreed when he was asked to do a role in the movie. He also thinks the story is a good one. Interestingly, Sukumar had seen both Tagaru and Bhariava Geetha played by Dhananjaya and wondered if both were the same person, added the actor.
He further talked about how both of them could connect very well, right from their first conversation. Since Sukumar is also a mathematics professor, Dhananjaya thinks that he could easily converse with him. The actor seems to be super confident about the film and his role in it, as he hopes this will open up a platform for him to be recognised as an actor across India.
The first look of the actor, who plays an intense role named Jolly Reddy, was released on his birthday and he looked intriguing in his mundu attire. Apart from this, Dhananjaya will also be seen in the much-anticipated Shoonya directorial Head Bush.
Meanwhile, Pushpa’s plot is based on the red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh. Pushpa: The Rise is the first out of two cinematic parts, which will also mark the Telugu debut of the Mollywood star Fahadh Faasil.
