Qala spoiler: Spot Anushka Sharma in the Tripti Dimrii and Babil Khan-starrer Netflix film

It's been four years since fans last saw Anushka Sharma on screen. The actor's last outing as an actor was Zero, which was released in 2018. Soon after that, she kept doing her job as a producer and backed movies and TV shows, such as Bulbbul on Netflix (2020) and Paatal Lok on Amazon Prime Video (2020). Now, Anushka was finally seen onscreen in the Netflix film Qala, which premiered on Thursday. Yes, the film is produced by her brother, Karnesh Ssharma, through Clean Slate Filmz, a company she co-founded with him.

Anushka plays the role of a yesteryear actor named Devika in the film, and she appears in the song. Ghodey Pe Sawaar. The actor is seen donning a vintage look in a beautiful saree. Anushka is barely present on the screen for a few seconds, but she definitely lights up the whole vibe of the film. She is seen playing the lead role in a movie titled Tejini.

In the 1930s psychological drama Qala, which stars Triptii Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee, and Babil Khan, the relationship between a mother and a daughter is shown in a very interesting way. A talented singer with a promising career and problems from her past learns to deal with the pressure of success, her mother's disapproval, and the voices of self-doubt. Anvitaa Dutt is the director, and Karnesh Ssharma and Cleanslate Filmz are the producers.

Meanwhile, talking about Anushka, she will be seen playing the lead role in Chakda Xpress, which is set to be a Netflix release. Directed by Prosit Roy, the film is based on the life of ace cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The actor has been filming in London, Kolkata, and Mumbai for the film. Chakda Xpress is likely to premiere on the streaming platform in 2023.
