Ram Charan certainly has a lot to look forward to this year. Not only does the Tollywood heavyweight have his name attached to some highly awaited releases of the year, he is also busy with another yet-to-be-titled project, helmed by S. Shankar. And it seems that Charan is also gearing up to make his foray into OTT this year too, with reports floating that Netflix has roped in the star to lead one of its upcoming web series.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, the upcoming series is touted to be a remake of a popular American television show and an official announcement regarding the upcoming project would be released by the streaming giant soon, once things are finalised. It is also reported that Netflix is also in search of a popular Bollywood director to helm the series. If confirmed, the upcoming web series would mark Charan’s digital debut.
The star is currently awaiting the release of his film RRR and Acharya. The former, helmed by S. S. Rajamouli, will see the star share the screen with Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt, among others. In Acharya, Charan will star alongside his father and fellow actor Chiranjeevi along with Pooja Hegde and Kajal Aggarwal.
Charan is currently working on his next film, tentatively titled RC15, which is directed by Shankar from a script penned by Karthik Subbaraj. The upcoming film will mark the star’s recent collaboration with Kiara Advani, after 2019’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama. RC15 also features Anjali, Jayaram and Sunil, among others.
