Things took a turn when stars Ajay Devgn and Kichcha Sudeepa both took to social media to share their ideas about pan-Indian movies and about Hindi as the national language. Ram Gopal Varma has now shared his thoughts about the issue.

Ram Gopal Varma, who has had an impressive career making both Hindi and Telugu movies told Etimes that he sides with the Kannada superstar with this issue. Saying that Sudeepa has driven an incredible point and that there is no North and South India and the country is just one. The filmmaker added that Ajay Devgn does not seem to understand this point while Sudeepa does.

“A Kannada dubbed film is at logger heads with a Hindi original film starring Ajay Devgn and the great Amitabh Bachchan. It is estimated to have a 6 crore opening day compared to a 56 crore opening day of a Kannada dubbed film.” he added, taking a dig at the situation.

After the exchanges between Devgn and Sudeepa, Varma also took to Twitter to put his thoughts across. In the tweet, he said that the truth is that north stars are insecure and jealous of South stars because KGF: Chapter 2, which is a Kannada movie, has had a Rs. 50 crore opening day around the country.

The entire online debate was kicked off after Kichcha Sudeepa said that Hindi is no longer a national language after the pan-Indian success of Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2. Ajay Devgn replied to this asking Sudeepa if that was the case, why he is dubbing his Kannada movie in Hindi.
