The newly launched aha Tamil OTT platform, exclusively meant for Tamil content, is coming up with another surprise for movie lovers. The ever popular Ramany vs Ramany franchise, which was a rage two decades ago, is ready with its third instalment.

The first part, which released in 1998, had Prithvi Raj and Vasuki Anand in lead roles; it had 25 episodes. The second part, which released in 2001, had Ram G and Devadarshini playing lead roles, and had 51 episodes. Naga, who directed both the instalments, has helmed the third part as well.

What's Ramany vs Ramany 3.0 all about?

The sit-com, which is billed as an out-and-out family drama, is about the relationship between a couple who shares contrasting ideologies. How they sort out their differences and get along with their household chores, and their equation with other family members form the crux of the series.

Filmmaker AR Murugadoss has unveiled the first look poster of the third part and expressed happiness over the same. He tweeted, "The Ramanys are back. I'm happy to release the first look of the much loved Tamil Family show in the digital era. Best wishes to the team (sic)."
