Rashmika Mandanna joins Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salmaan for Hanu Raghavapudi’s next project

It seems Hanu Raghavapudi’s upcoming project will certainly not see any dearth of talent, as it has been revealed that Rashmika Mandanna is all set to board the film’s cast. The yet-to-be-titled film will see the SIIMA award-winning actress share the screen with Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur.

According to reports in Pinkvilla, Mandanna’s role in the Telugu movie is touted to be an important one, an extended cameo of sorts. It was also reported that the star had been accosted to be a part of the film earlier as well, but it did not pan out due to date issues. The makers are said to be planning an international schedule for the film’s shoot, including a location in Russia, but no official confirmation is given yet.

In the film, Dulquer Salmaan is said to essay the role of an army lieutenant by the name of Ram while Mrunal Thakur will play the role of his love interest Sita. The first looks of their characters had been let out by the makers on the respective stars’ birthdays. In addition, a ToI report mentions that Ashwath Bhatt will don the role of the antagonist. The upcoming film will mark Bhatt and Thankur’s Telugu film debut.

The movie will reportedly be a period drama set in the 1960s, and filming for the same has begun in locations such as Hyderabad and Kashmir. Vishal Chandrashekhar is on board for the upcoming film which is bankrolled by Swapna Cinemas.

Rashmika Mandanna is certainly keeping busy as the star has a few projects in the pipeline such as Pushpa, Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu, Goodbye and Mission Majnu, the latter marking her Hindi film debut.
