Kuchipudi danseuse Sandhya Raju is pulling all the stops to spread the word about her Telugu cinema debut Natyam, written, cinematographed, edited and directed by Revanth Korukonda to the masses. She's reached out to the biggest names in the tinsel town, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Jr NTR, Venkatesh Daggubati for launching the film's promos and the move has paid off well in garnering buzz across social networking platforms. Today, actor Ravi Teja has unveiled a new song, Venuvulo, from Natyam. Anurag Kulkarni has crooned for the number while Shravan Bharadwaj has composed the album.
Rohit Behal and Sandhya Raju feature in Venuvulo, where the former is trying to liven up the spirits of the dancer, desperately wooing her. The lyrics pay an ode to nature, where the protagonist compares various aspects like rainfall, river flow, thunder to dance. He asks the girl to free herself from all inhibitions and barriers and celebrate life to the fullest. The song is very likely a situation where the girl finds herself falling in love with the guy but is thinking twice about taking the first step in the relationship.
Lyricist Karunakar Adigarla uses metaphors from nature to express the feelings of the man for his love interest. Shravan Bharadwaj's tune starts on a shaky note (especially with the way the lines end with Leda) but the melody is balanced with the right amount of energy and the enthusiasm to please the listener. The picturesque locations, scenic landscapes add to the visual appeal of the number. Kamal Kamaraj, Aditya Menon, Subhalekha Sudhakar and Bhanu Priya essay crucial roles in this dance-centric film, slated to release on October 22.
Sandhya Raju has also produced the film under Nishrinkala Films and served as a costume designer, production designer. Mahesh Upputuri is the art director.
