MCU's Iron Man, who was brought to life by Robert Downey Jr., has been one of the most devastating deaths in the history of Marvel Universe. Robert Downey Jr. himself had confirmed in a statement that he’s done everything that he can with the MCU character, Iron Man. His management team also unfollowed his Marvel Cinematic Universe co-workers on social media post Iron Man's tragic death. So, it is evident that the actor has left his superhero days behind. However, latest rumours suggest that we might be seeing Tony Stark once again in the MCU. According to a report by We Got This Covered, the actor will return to MCU through his cameo in the upcoming project, Ironheart.

The makers are likely to add scenes featuring Tony Stark’s memories in the upcoming Disney+ series starring Dominique Thorne in the lead role. Tony Stark is also going to make an appearance in Don Cheadle starrer Armor Wars, so he is likely to appear in Ironheart too.

Thorne will play the character of Riri Williams, a genius inspired by Tony Stark. She is likely to build her own advanced tech suit, which would be very similar to the Iron Man suit. Another rumour speculates that Robert Downey Jr. will be returning as the voice to the Artificial Intelligence inside Riri’s suit. Reportedly, RDJ’s financial demands are what’s preventing that from happening.

There is no official confirmation or denial of the rumours, but according to We Got This Covered, the speculation is from “trusted and proven sources.” Robert Downey Jr. or his team is yet to release an official statement regarding the buzz.

Meanwhile, Black Widow started streaming on Disney+ in the US. The movie is expected to hit Disney+ Hotstar by the start of October in India.
