SS Rajamouli's latest magnum opus is roaring success at the box office. Ever since it was released in theatres on March 25, the Ram Charan-Jr NTR starrer epic period drama has become the talk of the town. The film is breaking several records at the box office in India and across the globe. The film became the first Indian film to cross $3 million in the US.
The film, which was released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, is creating and achieving its own milestones. Now, the Hindi version of the film has made the fastest entry in the 100 Cr. club post-pandemic, surpassing Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi. The film collected Rs 107 crore just within five days of its release in north India and worldwide, it has collected over Rs 500 crore.
SS Rajamouli is known for creating cinematic wonder and RRR also made it even more evident, leaving fans in a frenzy. The film opened to a tremendous response from both fans and critics alike. It has been heaping for its high octane action scenes, performances of the lead actors, their chemistry, creating a larger-than-life experience for the viewers, which is the signature style of Rajamouli.
The period action drama film is a fictional story based on real-life Indian revolutionaries, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raj, who fought against the British Raj during the Independence movement. Jr NTR essays the role of Bheem while Ram Charan stars as the latter.
It is produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments and also stars Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Shriya Saran.
