RRR: Jr NTR says he is one of the few people to break the ‘shield’ and get to know Ram Charan as a person

S.S Rajamouli’s latest outing, RRR, has friendship at the heart of its story. With Ram Charan and Jr NTR playing the two leads, the actors seemed to have become good friends off screen as well. 

Talking about their off-screen friendship, Jr NTR said in an interview with Rana Daggubati, “We have been good friends, and there is nothing to hide. But RRR has brought us together and helped us understand our comfort level as actors. Charan has a crazy intensity in him. He is not an open book, and you want to explore him.” 

The actor revealed that Ram Charan is an introvert. He added that one needs to ‘break Charan’s shield’ and only then can one understand him. Jr NTR also said that he is one of the very few people who could break that shield and get to know Charan as a person. 

alking about how the friendship started, Charan said that they have been friends for some time now and it started when they both played a celebrity cricket game. 

With Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead, RRR is a period action drama that also features Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Samuthirakani, among others. The movie tells a fictionalised story of two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (NTR), who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively.

The mega project, which comes with a lot of expectations, is set to hit theatres around the country on March 25.
