For fans, Ajay Devgn’s embrace of darkness can’t come fast enough. The actor, who will don the avatar of the intense and troubled titular protagonist in Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, has certainly put in the work for his upcoming thriller as the latest BTS video from the series suggests.

The short clip, 30 seconds long, was unveiled by Devgn on his official social media handles. The clip features some intense scenes from the show, where the actor gives it all in some high octane action sequences. From punching through a wooden door in an emotionally tense moment to some urgent scenes wherein the star is seen warning people of danger, the clip certainly signals at a series that does not hold back in terms of thrill. Different angles in which a particular scene was shot are also shown in the clip, side by side.

The upcoming series is a remake of the British show Luther, which starred Idris Elba. It revolves around the story of a skilled, yet troubled police officer who finds himself unable to prevent himself from succumbing to the darkness of his troubling job.

In addition to Devgn, the upcoming series also features Raashi Khanna, Esha Deol, Atul Kulkarni and Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Gahlot, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Satyadeep Misra in pivotal roles. The series, which marks Devgn’s first web series, is directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and produced by Applause entertainment.

Rudra: The Edge of Darkness will premiere on March 4, 2022, on Disney+ Hotstar. The series will be available to stream in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, and Bengali.
