Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming action entertainer with Atlee titled Jawan has been grabbing the eyeballs ever since word got out that the duo is collaborating for a project. Recently, the makers of Jawan dropped the first look of the actor in a title announcement video which saw Shah Rukh Khan's face covered in bandages. The announcement certainly left his fans excited as the actor has been missing from the silver screens for about four years.
While speculations were rife that Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati is in talks to play the antagonist in the Shah Rukh Khan - Nayanthara starrer, lately rumour mills have been busy churning that the makers have now approached none other than Vijay Sethupathi to play the villain. If recent reports are anything to go by, then the makers have offered the film to Vijay Sethupathi since Rana Dagubbati's prior commitments and busy schedule didn't allow him to be a part of the same.
Looks like Vijay Sethupathi's outing as the antagonist in the recently released Kamal Haason starrer Vikram, has left a lasting impression on not only the fans but also the makers of Jawan. Rumour has it that the National Award winning actor is also being considered to star in the sequel to Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise. If all goes well, then Vijay may be seen playing the villain in Pushpa: The Rule as well. However, there hasn't been any official confirmation on the same from the makers of Jawan as well as Pushpa 2 yet.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan recently completed three decades in the film industry and answered some fan questions in a live #AskSRK session on his Instagram page. In the same session, the actor confirmed that he'll be working with Nayanthara in Jawan who will be seen playing the leading lady in the film. Some reports have also suggested that SRK's Pathaan co-star Deepika Padukone too will be seen in a significant cameo appearance in Jawan.
Directed by Atlee, Jawan is scheduled to hit the silver screens on June 2, 2023.
