It is known that Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are playing cameos in each other's respective films Tiger 3 and Pathaan. It looks like Yash Raj Films, which is bankrolling the two projects, is planning something big. The leading production house of Aditya Chopra, we hear, has plans to bring the two superstars for a spy thriller featuring both of them in equal roles.
Salman Khan's character from Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai will be appearing in a crucial cameo in Pathaan, and the latter will be seen in a brief role in Tiger 3. Both the much-expected action entertainers will be released in 2023.
According to Pinkvilla, what is being planned by Aditya Chopra with the two stars for a new movie will be the biggest project of the country in terms of budget and production design. Though Salman and SRK had collaborated for Zero and Tubelight in recent times, this will be the first proper multi-starrer of theirs post Karan Arjun.
The report says that the filmmaker-producer is busy readying the script for the project and that a decision on its director will be made later.
"The two stars are keen on working in a multi-starrer and are expected to sort out their dates based on the progress of the script. The first narration of this crossover between Tiger and Pathaan will happen only between Aditya Chopra, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan," says the article.
Pathaan, which has Deepika Padukone and John Abraham playing significant roles in it, is set for a theatrical release in January next year, and is expected to be the much-expected comeback of SRK. On the other hand, Tiger 3 which is set for a release during Eid next year, features Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in key characters.
