After making noise with its teasers and other promotional material, Tees Maar Khan is back in the news again. Starring Aadi Saikumar, Payal Rajput in lead roles, the action entertainer directed by Kalyanji Gogana is heading for a theatrical release on August 19. A new single from the film, Samayanike, featuring the lead pair, was launched today. Sai Kartheek composes music for the film.
Samayanike, with lyrics by Rakendu Mouli (son of noted writer Vennelakanti), is sung by Sruthi. This is a composition that tries to recreate the laidback vibe of the song Pareshaanura.. from Ram Charan’s Dhruva and succeeds only partially. However, the song is shot quite well and the on-screen chemistry between Aadi and Payal salvages the song to a large extent.
Fitness has been Aadi’s strength all through his career and he gets to flaunt his six-pack abs by the beach and romance Payal Rajput here. The makers have tried to come up with a sensuous number. The song’s opening lines are modelled on the popular kirtana ‘Samayaniki’. However, given the film’s context, the lyricist could’ve come up with something more imaginative than this reference.
Bal Reddy cranks the camera for the film. The filmmaker Kalyanji Gogana is confident that he would be showcasing Aadi Saikumar in a never seen before massy avatar in Tees Maar Khan. The latter has three looks in the film - as a student, rowdy and a cop. Bankrolled by Nagam Tirupathi Reddy under Vision Cinemas, Manikanth is the editor.
Sunil, Purnaa, Kabir Singh, Anoop Singh Thakur are also part of the cast. Tirumal Yella is the executive producer. Aadi will also be seen in a romantic entertainer titled Crazy Fellow. He is making his digital debut with thriller on ZEE5, in which he plays a cop. Lavanya Tripathi plays the female lead in it. The earlier releases for Aadi in 2022 were Athithi Devo Bhava and Black.
