Animal will reportedly explore the darker side of human emotions.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming movie Animal will reportedly commence shooting from April/May next year. It is expected to go on till October.
According to Pinkvilla, Ranbir Kapoor, who will play the lead, will begin work on Animal after finishing the yet-to-be-titled Luv Ranjan directorial.
The Reddy directorial was first announced on January 1 by producer T-Series chairman Bhushan Kumar.
Being bankrolled by T-Series, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Murad Khetani and Krishnan Kumar, the movie is set to be released in 2023.
If the reports are to be believed, Animal is a gangster-based-family-drama that will explore the darker side of human emotions.
Besides the Barfi star, Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Parineeti Chopra in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Kapoor’s untitled Luv Ranjan directorial has completed the ‘substantial chunk’ of the film according to the source, and the team will begin their overseas leg of the film by next year. The movie is slated to be released by the end of 2022.
The actor will also be seen in the most-ambitious project Brahmastra, in which he will play alongside a stellar cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy. The movie which was originally scheduled to be released on December 4, 2020, was postponed indefinitely due to the second wave of the pandemic.
He will also appear in Ramayana, alongside Hrithik Roshan, which is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari. The roles of Raavan and Ram will be essayed by Hrithik and Ranbir respectively, while the female lead to play Sita, is yet to be confirmed. Ranbir also has Shamshera in his pipeline, which will be released in theatres on March 18, 2022.
