Helmed by Thirumalai Baluchamy, the film will go on floors in October

Sarath Kumar and Suhasini Mani Ratnam will be appearing in a social drama that deals with water crises. The upcoming movie will be helmed by the editor-turned-director Thirumalai Baluchamy.
According to an ETimes report, the director shared deets about the movie that talks about water crises in an arid locality. He will be working on a project set in a rural area. Thirumalai Baluchamy talked about the characters of the stars with the portal. Sarath Kumar’s character returns to his homeland from overseas along with his wife, played by Suhasini. How they react to and deal with the water shortage in their homeland constitutes the rest of the story.
The director believes that only these two stars could pull off the characters written by him. He also said that both have varied knowledge on the widespread cultures across Tamil Nadu as they’ve travelled a lot. He talked about their characters being challenging roles to portray as well.
The rest of the cast members include Nandhaa of Thorati fame, newbie Ashwathi, Singam Puli, and Ganja Karuppu, who will be playing important roles in the yet-to-be-titled movie. The timeline of the movie will shuttle between incidents from the ’90s to the current timeline. The director added that the movie will go on floors in the first week of October in Ramanathapuram
