Composer S Thaman is making it a habit to score one hit after the other and break newer records by the day. The amount of success that he has enjoyed post Alaa Vaikunthapurramulo has been nothing short of staggering, at least in the last few months. Kalaavathi, the first single from Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata, is turning out to be another feather in his cap. Sid Sriram had crooned for the heartwarming melody that had lyrics by Anantha Sriram. The number has been earning a lot of love since the day of its launch and is touching newer milestones.
The chartbuster song has now moved past the 100 million views mark on YouTube and has over 1.7 million likes from users, making it the fastest single to reach the milestone in Telugu cinema. The song was shot like a musical video amidst a palatial backdrop and was interspersed with visuals of Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh from the film. Every notable celebrity from the tinsel town has had great words to say about it and the song has taken Instagram and other social networking platforms by storm too.
Kalaavathi is about a guy, who never had a girlfriend in his life, falling for a woman and the lyrics express his fascination for the girl and how his life has changed beyond his comprehension. In the previous week, the second single from Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Penny, too opened to a terrific response from music listeners. Nakash Aziz had crooned for the song also written by Anantha Sriram. In addition, Mahesh Babu's fans were joyous to see the star's daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni making her first appearance in a music video.
Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta are bankrolling the film jointly under Mythri Movie Makers, GMB Entertainment and 14 Reels Plus banners. R Madhi is the cinematographer for the film with the crew also including editor Marthand K Venkatesh, art editor AS Prakash. Sarkaru Vaari Paata hits screens on May 12.
