The much-awaited trailer of Selfiee starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi is finally out. Directed by Raj Mehta, the upcoming comedy-thiller film also has Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty in key roles.

During the recent trailer launch event, Askay was asked to share his thoughts on PM Modi’s advice to politicians that they should not comment on films, to which the actor replied, "Positivity is always welcome. And if our Prime Minister is saying something like this. I think he is India's biggest influencer. If he is saying something and things change, it will be great for the industry. And, why not? It should change. Things should change because we go through so much. We make films then we go to the censor board to pass. After that, someone says something, and it affects badly to our film. But, now, thanks to him as after his speech, hopefully, things will turn out well for us."

Recently, multiple politicians were seen making derogatory remarks on Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan's song Besharam Rang as well as Deepika Padukone and her attire in the song.

Reportedly, while addressing BJP party workers at the BJP national executive on January 17, PM Modi advised his party members to not make unnecessary remarks that overshadow all the hard work that the political party do.

Meanwhile, Emraan shared the latest trailer video on his official Instagram handle with a quirky caption that reads, "Ab star ke life mein, fan laayega masala! Watch the #SelfieeTrailer now! #Selfiee releasing only in cinemas on 24th Feb. (Sic)."
