Anirudh Ravichander, who is basking in the success of Kamal Haasan's Vikram, is now gearing up for his Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. The film, also marks the debut of Atlee in Hindi and Nayanthara as the leading lady. The shoot for the film is on in full swing. During an interaction with the media, when Anirudh was asked about his experience working on his Bollywood debut, he said that after the pandemic and the surge of OTT platforms, the barriers regarding languages are broken. But, at the same time, he added that he was excited about his debut.

Anirudh said, "I think after the pandemic and how the OTTs have taken over, it's not a question of a Tamil film or a Hindi film. Even if you take a song, and if it becomes a hit in one language, its a hit all over because of social media. Language barriers have been broken. It was the same case with my first song Why This Kolaveri Di?

Talking about working with the Baadshah of Bollywood, Anirudh said, "I am very excited about my Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh sir's Jawan. I have grown up watching his films and I am a big fan. I met SRK sir and he is a wonderful person." The composer said that he didn't really aspire to go to Bollywood. "I never had a specific dream that I had to go to Bollywood. My brother Atlee is a wonderful director and he is taking all of us to Bollywood. I am sure it will be a great experience. Jawan will expand our muscial audience though I think there's isn't much of a gap due to the digital space. I am very excited about the film."

Anirudh's last outing was Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram, which ran to packed houses. The album was a chartbuster and went on to make many records.
