Shah Rukh Khan’s trainer reveals actor worked for four years to look ‘bigger and better’ for Pathaan: His discipline is commendable

Shah Rukh Khan had certainly set the internet on fire when he gave fans a glimpse of his chiselled look from his upcoming film Pathaan. Flaunting his toned abs in a shirtless photo, and striking an uber cool pose with his hair up, the Baadshaah of Bollywood certainly stoked fans’ excitement for his upcoming film. But it seems that the actor had to put in quite a lot of work to get his enviable physique for the film. The actor’s trainer recently opened up about how hard Khan had worked to perfect his look for Pathaan.

In conversation with The Indian Express, Prashant Subhash Sawant, who has been Khan’s trainer for almost 25 years, revealed that the actor had spent the last four years specifically training for Pathaan. The actor had been consistently working on the same, even though the pandemic had come in the way of his progress.

In order to make Khan look ‘bigger’ and ‘better’, Sawant had tweaked the actor’s training regime to include strength training and a lot of ‘heavy lifting’. The trainer revealed that it had taken them two years alone to build the toned physique of the actor seen in the first look, adding that his frame had ‘changed completely’ as well.

Speaking of how hard Khan worked, the trainer spoke of how meticulously planned the actor’s diet was. Even though the actor had witnessed a setback in the form of an injury, Khan had tried to make up for it by working really hard. “His discipline is commendable,” Prashant added.

The upcoming film is touted to be a spy thriller and will also see Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in prominent roles. Siddharth Anand has directed the film, produced by Aditya Chopra, Maxim Ajjawi and Alexander Dostal.

Pathaan will hit the silver screens on January 25, 2023.
