Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films is planning a massive slate of movies, which also includes a Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon project. According to the production company, there's a reason why this movie is regarded as the most original and significant love story to come from the banner.

A source told Peeping Moon that the romance between a man and a machine, which has been explored frequently in Hollywood but is uncommon in Indian cinema, is the subject of Shahid and Kriti's robot rom-com. The plot is set in a tiny village against the backdrop of an Indian cultural tradition, with Shahid playing a robotics guy and Kriti appearing as a robot. This movie is a top priority for Maddock Films, and they've requested the allocated crew to do everything possible to make sure it turns out exactly how it was envisioned on paper. They intend to begin shooting it extensively in India and internationally in November of this year.

The insider went on to say that the Shahid-Kriti movie is more Bahu Hamari Rajinikant meets Ex Machina. It's a Hollywood idea delivered in a typically Indian setting, promising viewers a distinctive and alluring experience full of drama and weirdness.

The performers were thrilled with what they were given and are eager to film this unusual love story. Amit Joshi, who also co-wrote the screenplay for Trapped, will helm the untitled movie. Joshi has also written the screenplays for Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming movies, India Lockdown and Babli Bouncer, as well as Santosh Sivan's yet-to-be-released Mumbaiker.

With this Dinesh Vijan production, Joshi finally makes his directorial debut after having his prior project with Ronnie Screwvala, which was scheduled to serve as his directorial debut, cancelled in 2020.

He was supposed to direct Sunny Singh and Vikrant Massey in a bromance tale with four distinct settings as its backdrop.
