Shamshera is getting closer to its massive release with each passing day, and the makers are finding ways to pique the intrigue of the fans. The movie’s makers have now shared a new video with the fans, titled ‘World of Shamshera’, where the cast and crew talk about how the period action drama was made.

“Our vision for Shamshera was to create a visual spectacle like no other. We wanted to create a never seen before new cinematic experience for our audiences. For us to do this we had to prepare for 1 year, 4 months of mammoth set construction time, 500 + workers along with crew members of the setting department (sic),” said director Karan Malhotra in the video.

He also added that it took 140 days of shoot and a long two and a half years of VFX work to bring the movie to its “finest glory”.

Sanjay Dutt, who plays the main antagonist in the movie, said that the movie is a world of its own and that it being a mass-oriented movie is one of the most important things about it.

Ranbir Kapoor, who will be appearing in a double role in the movie, also said that Shamshera is exactly what the Hindi film audiences crave because it has big action set pieces, comedy, emotions of freedom, drama and more.

The movie, which is set in the late 1800s, has Ranbir playing a dacoit and a rebel warrior who fights for the liberation of his people. Also starring Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana and Ronit Roy among others, the movie’s trailer received great attention from the fans.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 22, 2022.
