Yogaraj Bhat is known to churn out interesting content as a filmmaker and his upcoming project proves just that. The Gaalipata 2 director has roped in not one but two superstars, in the form of Shiva Rajkumar and the dancing maestro Prabudeva, for an untitled film bankrolled by Rockline Venkatesh.
The special collaboration was launched officially with a special muhurtha in Bengaluru on June 23 which saw Shivanna, his wife Geetha Shiva Rajkumar, director Bhat, and producer Rockline Venkatesh in attendance.
“I have known Rockline Venkatesh for many years now, almost 32 years, and he came into the industry first as a friend and then a producer. And he is grown to become a family member now and working with him is always a pleasure because he never compromises on what a film truly requires. Any filmmaker, I believe, would be lucky to have him as the producer. People have been wanting us to work together but nothing materialized and I suppose it all came down to Yogaraj Bhat’s film (laughs),” said Shiva Rajkumar in the press meet held post the launch ceremony.
Another highlight of the film, added Shivanna, would be the opportunity to work with Prabhudeva who makes his return to Kannada cinema after two decades. “I am particularly looking forward to working with Mr. Prabhudeva who is easily one of the best dancers our country has ever seen and alongside, he is a great artist too. So, sharing the screen with him would be amazing,” added the Bairagee actor.
Prabhu Deva will also be seen in his younger brother Nagendra Prasad’s Kannada directorial Lucky Man wherein he will be shaking a leg with the late Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar. The two dancing heroes will be making a rather special appearance in this remake film (of Oh My Kadavule!) and light up the screens with their inimitable moves. Lucky Man stars Darling Krishna in the lead.
Coming back to the Yogaraj Bhat project, reports have suggested that this would be a period project set between 1960 and 1970 and that it is tentatively titled Kuladalli Keelyavudo. V. Harikrishna scores the music.
