Shark Tank India was one of the most popular Indian shows available during its run. Even months after the first season of the show ended, the judges or “sharks” are still very popular with the fans.
Namita Thapar and Aman Gupta, two of the sharks on the show, recently opened up about issues they had with the makers of the show regarding their costumes. They even revealed that they pleaded with the producers for a wardrobe change.
Talking to Rohan Joshi, Tanmay Bhat and Sahil Shah, the two even revealed that they offered to pay from their own pockets if it meant they could wear something else.
“We used to wear the same clothes for like a few days and it was for a reason, so that they could mix any of these shoots and use them anywhere.” Aman Gupta said, before he was interrupted by Namita asking him to stop being nice about it.
Aman then revealed that this was one of his biggest regrets and that they used to constantly talk to the creative folk asking for wardrobe changes and that they could even pay for it because they were bored of wearing the same clothes.
Namitha added that the real tragedy is that they can blame everything on the global franchise and that even if they say they could pay for wardrobe changes, it would be turned down in the name of global franchise SOP.
Shark Tank India is based on the same format as the show Shark Tank America. Episodes of Shark Tank India are available to stream on Sony LIV.
