Earlier today, filmmaker Prasad Kanteerava’s latest short film, Thank You, was released on the PRK Studios Youtube channel. Starring Shine Shetty, the 25-minute short takes place in the elevator of an apartment building.

As Prasad, Shine plays a character, who appears to be dealing with some personal problems with the easiest possible solution – by drowning his feelings in alcohol. But when he runs out of his favourite tipple after a morning shot, he has to venture out to replenish stocks. On his way back from the alcohol run, Prasad gets stuck in the apartment lift, an experience that almost gives him a massive panic attack.

As it turns out, Prasad does not have enough balance on his prepaid mobile phone to call for help and the only person who gets through him is a sales executive from a real-estate firm. What begins as a call to meet targets for her, Nayana, then becomes about trying to help Prasad soothe his already frayed nerves, until help arrives.

Thank You has been released in Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The actor had earlier said that he took up the short film because he found the storyline interesting. But while he was impressed by the story, Shine was also thrilled that the project would allow him to collaborate with fellow Bigg Boss Kannada contestant and good friend, singer-composer Vasuki Vaibhav, who has composed the music for the short. The first look poster of Thank You were released by Rakshit Shetty and Rishab Shetty.

Meanwhile, the actor will also be seen in the late Puneeth Rajkumar’s last feature film, James, which is slated for a March 17 release, to coincide with the Power Star’s birth anniversary. Currently, the actor is working on the Vijay Sankeshwar biopic, Vijayanand, in which he plays the antagonist. The film, by Rishika Sharma, has Nihal Rajput in the title role, and stars Anant Nag, Ravichandran, Siri Prahlad, Bharath Bopanna, etc., in pivotal roles. The team has been shooting in the Hubballi-Dharwad belt, where Vijay Sankeshwar is from.
