Vijay with Shine Tom Chacko

Mollywood actor Shine Tom Chacko, who has portrayed a few praiseworthy characters, has landed in a soup after his comment on Vijay-starrer Beast has gone viral on social media. The actor made controversial remarks during a chat with a leading online news portal in Malayalam.

Beast, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, was his Tamil debut; the movie opened to mixed reviews upon release, and many had pointed out Nelson's lackadaisical screenplay and making. He has been facing massive trolls on social media ever since the movie released on April 14.

When Shine was asked about his experience working for Beast, he said that the movie itself wasn't a good experience for the audience. He also indirectly criticized Vijay for the lack of proper expressions in a scene in which the latter fights with the former.

Further, he went on to add that the makers should have had a basic understanding on terrorism before making a film which revolves around the issue. Shine also admitted to having not watched Beast, but said that he came across several trolls on the film.

This has made fans of Vijay furious and they took to social media to express disappointment on Shine Tom. They wonder why the actor agreed to be a part of a film like Beast if he wasn't convinced with the execution of a few scenes. Unfortunately, many of them tagged Nelson in their tweets and abused him for making an unimpressive film.

Interestingly, a few movie buffs from Kerala chipped in with comments saying that Shine Tom has been making unnecessary comments about Malayalam films, too, and requested them not to take his remarks seriously. Nelson, who made superhit films like Kolamavu Kokila and Doctor, is now looking forward to making a comeback with Jailer.
