The veteran Kannada actor is all set to act in the upcoming magical movie helmed by the debutant director Shishir Rajmohan
Veteran Kannada actor Anant Nag will be conjuring up a magical performance for his upcoming fantasy drama Abracadabra, which is helmed by debutant Shishir Rajmohan and produced by actor-director Rakshit Shetty.
The upcoming movie deals with the subject of magic, but also has several layers to it. Shishir, who is excited about working with the versatile actor for his first feature movie, told ETimes, “We had a few sittings with him and he liked our screenplay, which, in fact, makes a detour from the usual. Anant sir always brings his own flavour to any role he plays and I can’t wait to see his character unfold.”

The movie revolves around Nag’s character, who will be confronting something he had never done so far and is forced to ponder certain questions in his life. BV Shrunga, Siri Ravikumar and Avinash Rai are also part of the cast. Their characters deal with similar aspects such as seeking validation and identity for themselves and their ambitions that constitute montages of their lives.
Shishir had earlier collaborated with Rakshit Shetty in the co-direction of the latter’s short film titled, I Shot Myself in 2010. Shetty, who is excited to be working with the debutant director in the upcoming movie, is all praise for Shishir’s work and is confident about the latter’s work in Abracadabra.
