Shiva Rajkumar's popularity saw another huge spike following his Jailer gig, wherein he shared the screen for the very first time in his career with superstar Rajinikanth. Although his role was a small one in terms of screen time, the fact that his character Narasimha enters the fray at the right moment has pleased the audience and particularly his fans.

Since then, Shivanna has been found busy interacting with Tamil media outlets about his rather striking cameo and now, one hears about him potentially making a full-fledged debut as a leading man in a Tamil film. The 61-year-old actor will soon be seen as Dhanush's on-screen older brother in Arun Matheswaran's Captain Miller.

Ghost actor to make Bollywood debut

And in this vein, another interesting development comes to the fore which hints at Shiva Rajkumar's Bollywood debut. The actor was recently in the company of filmmaker Sudipto Sen, who is best known for directing The Kerala Story, and pictures of the two interacting at the former's residence are now available on social media. While the exact topic of discussion between the two remains undisclosed, speculations are rife at the moment that Shiva Rajkumar and Sudipto Sen are likely to collaborate in the near future, marking the Century Star's debut in Hindi cinema!

Sudipto Sen, of course, is set to reunite with his The Kerala Story producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah for a new titled Bastar. Billed as another explosive take on an issue of national interest, Bastar is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on April 5, 2024. The makers are yet to divulge the plot or the core cast & crew of the project, but one hears about the film being centred around the Naxal and tribal groups occupying the Bastar region in Chattisgarh.

Could Shivanna's Bollywood debut be Bastar? Well, let's wait and watch.

Ghost to be a Dasara release

In other news, Shiva Rajkumar's next big release comes in the form of M.G. Srinivas' Ghost, a heist action thriller that also stars Anupam Kher, Jayaram, Archana Jois and Prashanth Narayanan. The film is set to arrive in cinemas on October 19, a day prior to the release of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B.
