The shoot for Vijay Antony's upcoming film with Vijay Milton, Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan, has been wrapped up. The teaser is said to be out soon. The film's producer Dhananjayan shared the same on his social media page along with the pictures of the wrap up, "@vijayantony@vijaymilton's#MazhaiPidikkathaManithan Shooting wrapped up today successfully. Teaser releasing soon. Thank U Milton sir馃檹 @FvInfiniti @realsarathkumar @akash_megha @bKamalBohra @pradeepfab @panbohra @DoneChannel1 @ProRekha @CtcMediaboy (sic)." The film, which is touted to be an action thriller, has Vijay Antony and Megha Akash playing the lead roles, along with Sarath Kumar.

Dhananjayan had earlier shared the update on his social media page along with a picture of the team glued to the monitor. He had then stated that only two days of work was pending and that they are gearing up for the final wrap.

Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan marks the comeback of Captain Vijayakanth into films. The veteran actor has been missing on the film front due to his health condition, and was last seen in Sagaptham (2015), which marked the acting debut of his son Shanmugapandian. Mazhai Pidikkatha Manithan is an action flick, a genre the veteran actor is known for, and is being touted as a perfect fit for the senior actor. The rest of the star cast includes Saranya Ponvannan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Murali Sharma and Praniti. Vijay Milton has not only penned the script for the film, but has also helmed the film and cranked the camera. Vijay Antony has composed the soundtrack and Achu Rajamani has scored the background music.

Vijay Antony has a slew of films in his kitty, including Thamezharasan (directed by Babu Yogeswaran), Agni Siragugal (directed by Naveen), and Khaki (directed by A Senthil Kumar). He is all set to make his directorial debut with Pichaikkaran 2, sequel to the 2016 film, Pichaikkaran, directed by Sasi.
