Shraddha Srinath has been among the rare actress to have carved her niche in multiple industries within a years of her debut, U Turn in Kannada. While she's a popular name in Kannada already, she's made a mark in both Tamil and Telugu cinema with impressive projects like Nerkonda Paarvai, Jersey, Krishna and his Leela, to name a few. After starring in Mohanlal's Malayalam film Aarattu recently, Shraddha will next be seen in a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.
The bilingual is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory, the banner that has backed projects like Bloody Mary, Kudi Yedamaithe recently and also are bankrolling Karthikeya 2. First-time director Deepak helms this outing that also stars Rohini Molleti in a crucial role. The technical crew of the film includes composer Ramesh Thamilmani, editor Philomin Raj as well. Vivek Kuchibhotla is the co-producer of the same.
The makers of the film will launch the film's first look tomorrow. In a social media post, they wrote, "2⃣1⃣st Century's Gravest Crime! Bringing you the intriguing First Look tomorrow at 10 am. #21stCenturysGravestCrime @Shraddhasrinath @Rohinimolleti @vishwaprasadtg @vivekkuchibotla @peoplemediafcy @negativespace04 @Ramesharchi @philoedit @pro_guna @venupro." The writer of the film, Lenin Bharathi, says that the story will uncover the biggest crime of the century that the Indian society is clinging to, beneath the progress of the modern world.
Surprisingly, the makers have kept several details about the project under wraps till now. However, we can confirm that the film will have to do something with manual scavenging, seweage deaths. More details about it will be revealed along with the first look tomorrow. Shraddha's last Telugu release was Krishna and his Leela, that is streaming on aha and Netflix. Her other Tamil films like Chakra and Maara were dubbed into Telugu too.
