Celebrating his birthday on December 27, 2024, Salman Khan will unveil the official poster and first look at his highly anticipated action flick Sikandar to his huge fan following. With AR Murugadoss at the helm, the superstar teams up with producer Sajid Nadiadwala for the third time after their successful partnership on Kick and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
The team is currently shooting high-octane action sequences and planning the promotional campaign, a source told India Today Digital. The promotional efforts featuring Salman's much-anticipated intense and rough appearance from the film will reportedly begin on his birthday.
The production is putting in a lot of time and effort to make sure Sikandar lives up to the high expectations for its spectacular Eid 2025 premiere, according to the insider.
The crew is gearing up to film a thrilling train scene in January of 2025, after finishing up significant shots in Hyderabad. The makers expect the last phase of filming to conclude in Mumbai to keep the production on track.
Earlier, Mid Day reported on the immense scale of the Mumbai sequence. Salman's character confronts a group of villains and engages in intense, violent violence. The filmmaker gave the action choreographer explicit instructions to make it violent and retaliatory. On Wednesday night, Salman filmed the scene with a mere 30 spectators. Separately, Murugadoss filmed the scenes with a large number of people (around 350) on Tuesday.
Team members are not staying put for extended periods of time in the same area for security reasons. The crew will head to the next location as soon as the superstar finishes filming in the Borivali studio on Thursday. The source told the tabloid that the shooting will go on at various sites around the city until the end of January.
Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead, while Salman Khan plays the title role. With its explosive action and gripping plot, Sikandar promises to present Salman in a powerful, gruff persona.
