Silambarasan's new look as an auto driver leaves fans surprised; netizens wonder what's brewing

Though Silambarasan's last outing was the blockbuster Maanaadu (streaming on SonyLIV) directed by Venkat Prabhu, he surprised his fans and others by becoming the host of Bigg Boss Ultimate after Kamal Haasan had to quit the show mid-way due to his film commitments.

Now that the show has ended, fans are looking forward to seeing what the star is going to take up next. Gautham Menon's Vendhu Thaninthathu Kaadu is expected to be his next release. An official announcement on its release is awaited by film buffs. He currently has Corona Kumar, Pathu Thala and Maha in his kitty.

A video featuring him as an auto driver has been doing the rounds on social media. The short video has him sporting a khaki shirt and pants and sitting in an auto rickshaw. While a few say that it is from the location of Corona Kumar, some others opine that the clip is from the shooting of an ad.

A while ago, it was heard that Corona Kumar to be directed by Gokul has been shelved. But later, a few sources confirmed that the project is on and that it will begin soon.

If everything goes well, Silambarasan will have two releases this year. However, it isn't sure which among the movies in his line-up would be the second release after Vendhu Thaninthathu Kaadu. The project brings the actor, Gautham and AR Rahman together for the third time.

Siddhi Idnani is making her Tollywood debut with the movie which has Radhika Sarathkumar and Neeraj Madhav playing crucial roles. Vels Film International has produced the film which is said to be releasing after June. The makers had unveiled its teaser a few months ago.
