Looks like Silambarasan, who is on a high after the blockbuster success of Maanaadu, has no plans to take a break. He has joined the final schedule of Gautham Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu in Mumbai. The actor also surprised his fans by releasing a working still from the location.
He posted a black and a white picture of himself holding a gun clicked from low angle. The tweet along which he posted the photo, reads, "The #Shoot begins!" A few weeks ago, he had informed his social media followers that he is en route Mumbai.
The other day, Silambarasan, Venkat Prabhu and SJ Suryah were in Mumbai to hold a screening for Maanaadu for some of the exhibitors, distributors and other bigwigs of Bollywood. A few critics from the Hindi film industry were all praise for the movie as well, going by their social media posts.
Though Maanaadu was supposed to release in Hindi and other south languages, only the Tamil version hit the screens on November 25. The political thriller, which has time-loop as its core theme, opened to unanimous response from critics and the audience alike.
Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu marks the third collaboration of Silambarasan and Gautham Menon after Vinnaithandi Varuvaya (streaming on YouTube) and Acham Enbathu Madamaiyada (streaming on MX Player and Jio Cinema). AR Rahman, who composed music for both the movies, has been roped in this time, too.
Silambarasan has Pathu Thala and Corona Kumar in his kitty apart from a cameo in Maha. On the other hand, Gautham Menon, who has two directorial projects pending, will be seen in a few movies as an actor.
