Neil Patrick Harris to feature in Doctor Who

How I Met Your Mother actor Neil Patrick Harris has joined the cast of BBC’s long-running sci-fi show Doctor Who. The actor will be seen in the show’s 60th anniversary special, which will be aired next year. Although details about the character are kept under wraps, showrunner Russell T. Davis called Harris’ character in the show as the “greatest enemy the Doctor has ever faced”.

Justin Lin to direct adaptation of One Punch Man

Filmmaker Justin Lin is set to helm the live-action adaptation of the hit manga series One Punch Man. The popular series follows the story of Saitama who can defeat any enemy with a single punch. Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, who have earlier collaborated on Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Venom, will pen the screenplay. Lin, who has helmed five films in the Fast & Furious franchise, recently made headlines when he exited from Fast X following disagreements with the film’s lead actor Vin Diesel.

Knives Out sequel titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

The highly awaited sequel to the critically acclaimed and award-winning 2019 film Knives Out has been titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Director Rian Johnson revealed that the movie will premiere on Netflix later this year. Daniel Craig will reprise his role as detective Benoit Blanc in the sequel. The film also features Ethan Hawke, Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr, Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline, and Jessica Henwick.

Eugene Cordero to return in second season of Loki

Eugene Cordero will return as Casey, a clerk at the Time Variance Authority, in the second season of Marvel Studios’ Loki. The first season of the show, which is set in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, aired on Disney+ last June and received plaudits for its visuals and performances.

Jorma Taccone joins Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Jorma Taccone has joined the cast of the upcoming animated superhero film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Tacccone will voice the iconic supervillain The Vulture, a genius engineer who developed a suit that enables him to fly at high speeds. The film also features the voice talents of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Oscar Issac, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, and Shea Whigham. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is expected to hit theaters on June 2nd next year.

New documentary on tennis legend John McEnroe

Showtime’s new sports documentary titled McEnroe chronicles the life of one of the greatest tennis players in history, John McEnroe. Directed by Barney Douglas, the documentary delves deep into McEnroe’s career and recreates his life with the help of never-before-seen archive footage and interviews.
