Rust producers penalized for the death of cinematographer

The producers of the movie Rust have been issued the maximum possible fine of $136,793 for violating fire safety norms on the set of the film. In October last year, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was accidentally shot dead by actor-producer Alec Baldwin while rehearsing for a scene. The director of the film, Joel Souza, had also suffered injuries.

The Equalizer 3 to release next year

The Equalizer 3 will hit the big screens late next year. Denzel Washington will return as Robert McCall in the film, which is a reboot of the 1980s television series created by Richard Lindheim and Michael Sloan. The details on the director, writer and supporting cast are yet to be revealed.

Nine more actors join Schwarzenegger’s TV series

The cast of the upcoming Netflix spy adventure series starring The Terminator actor Arnold Schwarzenegger keeps getting bigger and better. Gabriel Luna, who himself has played the role of a Terminator in Terminator: Dark Fate has been added to the cast. He will be joined by Travis Van Winkle, Fortune Feimster, Jay Baruchel, Milan Carter, Fabiana Udenio, Barbara Eve Harris, Aparna Brielle and Andy Buckley as series regulars. The yet-to-be-titled project is created by Nick Santora.

Idris Elba to star in new Apple TV+ series

The upcoming Apple TV+ series titled Hijack has added Idris Elba to its cast in the lead role. The British actor will also serve as producer under the banner of Green Door Pictures. George Kay, the writer of popular TV shows such as Lupin and Criminal, serves as the screenwriter, while Jim Field Smith will direct the project. The thriller limited series is set on a hijacked aeroplane.

Aziz Ansari’s new production suspended after complaint against Bill Murray

Aziz Ansari’s upcoming film Being Mortal has suspended production after a complaint was lodged against veteran Hollywood star Bill Murray. Producers are yet to furnish further details regarding the complaint after they confirmed that the matter would be investigated internally.

Chris Hemsworth’s new Netflix film, Spiderhead, announces premiere date

Streaming giant Netflix has announced that the upcoming film, Spiderhead, starring Chris Hemsworth, is set to premiere on June 17. The film also features Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett, with Joseph Kosinski as director. The film is a psychological thriller and based on a short story from The New Yorker by George Saunders.

Veteran Bollywood star Helen to make her acting comeback

Iconic Bollywood star, Helen, who has appeared in over 700 films as an actress and dancer, is set to make her return to the screen after nearly a decade. She is set to appear in Abhinay Deo’s upcoming project titled Brown. Brown will star Karisma Kapoor in the lead and will be produced by Zee Studios.
