What If...? renewed for third season

The second season of the animated anthology series What If...? is set to premiere in 2023, but Marvel Studios surprised fans by renewing the series for a third season. The announcement was made at the San Diego Comic-Con following a screening of an episode of the upcoming second season. Created by A. C. Bradley for Disney+, the show's second season is part of Phase Five of the MCU.

Mayans M.C renewed for fifth season

FX’s motorcycle drama Mayans M.C. has been renewed for a fifth season. Created by Kurt Sutter and Elgin James, the series is set in the same universe as Sons of Anarchy. James also struck a multiple-year overall deal with Disney’s 20th Television. The show features J. D. Pardo as Ezekiel Reyes, the current President of the Mayans Motorcycle Club.

Disney+ in talks to acquire Doctor Who’s streaming rights

As per reports, Disney+ is in talks to acquire the streaming rights of a new Doctor Who season. If the deal works out, upcoming seasons and episodes of the long-running British show will be available on Disney+, apart from BBC. Doctor Who premiered on BBC in 1963, and since then, William Hartnell, Jon Pertwee, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and Jodie Whittaker have played the titular character, with Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa confirmed as the new Doctor of the sci-fi series.

Copenhagen Cowboy picked up by Netflix

Pusher trilogy director Nicolas Winding Refn’s upcoming drama series Copenhagen Cowboy has been picked up by Netflix. The neo-noir series revolves around Miu who journey’s through Copenhagen’s underworld. The six-episode series is written by Sara Isabella Jonsson, Johanne Algren, and Mona Masri.

Masaba Masaba Season 2 (Netflix)

The second season of Masaba Masaba, a drama series based on the life of fashion designer and actress Masaba Gupta will premiere on Netflix on July 29th. The series written and directed by Sonam Nair has Masaba and her mother Neena Gupta playing themselves. The first season of the show featured guest appearances from several Bollywood stars including Farah Khan, Kiara Advani, Mithila Palkar, and Malavika Mohanan.

Good Luck Jerry ( Disney+ Hotstar)

Janhvi Kapoor’s black comedy film Good Luck Jerry will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on July 29th. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila and stars Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, Sushant Singh, and Sahil Mehta, among others.

777 Charlie (Voot)

Kannada film 777 Charlie starring Rakshit Shetty will release on Voot on Friday. The film that revolves around the friendship between a man and his dog also stars Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B. Shetty, Danish Sait, Bobby Simha, and a labrador named Charlie.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (Amazon Prime Video)

The biographical film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which marks the directorial debut of actor R Madhavan, will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from tomorrow. Madhavan essays the role of former scientist Nambi Narayanan in the film.
