Director Adhik Ravichandran had recently announced that he is all set to direct a pan Indian project with Vishal in the lead role. Vinod Kumar, who bankrolled the star's last outing, Enemy, will be producing the film which is said to be the biggest in the actor's career.
In a recent interaction with OTTplay, Adhik had told us that the project which is set to go on floors from February will be a full-fledged action entertainer which will have high octane stunt scenes. The team is currently scouting locations for the movie though a few crucial portions of it will be shot in a studio.
We now hear that the team is in talks with SJ Suryah to play the antagonist's role in the movie. The actor-filmmaker is currently on a high after the stupendous success of Maanaadu (streaming on SonyLIV) which released a month ago. He will next be seen essaying a negative character in Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Don which will release in February.
Suryah currently has Bommai, Kadamaiyai Sei and Iravaakaalam in his kitty apart from a web series. He began the year with Selvaraghavan's Nenjam Marappathillai (streaming on Zee5) which received accolades for performing a character with grey shade.
Meanwhile, Adhik has two movies, Bagheera and Kadhalai Thedi Nithya Nandha, awaiting releases. While the former, according to him, is likely to have a theatrical release in early 2022, the latter has a few crucial portions to complete.
Adhik told us, "With someone like Vishal headlining the project, it is natural that movie buffs will expect impressive action sequences in it. We felt the movie's story has a universal appeal, and hence, decided to make it as a pan Indian project."
